Foundation for International Professional Exchange
Who We Are...
We are a few hundred people in many different places in the world who think what FIPE is doing is important enough to invest our time, energy, and personal resources to help it along.
We are or have been doing FIPE things in Russia, (where it all started 20 years ago) Ukraine, Lithuania, Mexico, Haiti, Uganda, Afghanistan, and Lesotho.
We are schoolteachers, engineers, college students, architects, physicians, nurses, clergy, judges, elected government officials, librarians, police officers, children, octogenarians, merchants, salespeople, retirees, CEO’s, hourly wage earners, carpenters, military personnel, writers. In FIPE “professional” is a very elastic word.
What We Do...
We facilitate the exchange of people, information, ideas, some donated equipment and supplies between the
U.S. and other nations of the world, enabling participants to meet on
each other’s home turf to establish personal interests, friendships, and
mutual goals.
How We Do It...
All kinds of ways; on a shoestring budget, utilizing the services and
contributions of a large network of friends who believe strongly in the
purposes and principles for which FIPE has worked for two decades.
